About Ms. Halpin

I am looking forward to being your child's 3rd grade teacher this year! 

I am originally from Northwest Indiana.  I earned a bachelor's degree from Purdue University in Business Communications.  I then went on to earn my teaching license in elementary education from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  I recently completed my Master's degree in Educational Technology Leadership at Concordia University Chicago. 

This is my 9th year teaching at Walt Disney Magnet School.  Prior to teaching here in Chicago, I taught Kindergarten and K-5 Computer Technology in the St. Louis Public School District and 3rd grade in the Las Vegas Public Schools.  I am very passionate about education and so grateful to be a part of a school as wonderful as Disney. 

When I am not teaching or working in my classroom I very much enjoy traveling, running, tennis, playing the piano and eating at all the amazing restaurants Chicago has to offer.
